LCN: Hi Erika welcome to Le Creme Nation. How are you?
ERIKA: I'm doing well, thanks!
LCN: When Le Creme Nation interview you Erika there's no sugar coating.
Are you ready?
ERIKA: Always
LCN: Great! Just for the people here who maybe unfamiliar with you and your
work, let the people know who's Erika Mayshawn (hometown, residence,
relationship status, etc)
ERIKA: I’m from Detroit, Mchigan, I've been in Playboy Top 100, the cover of XXL with R. Kelly, the cover Spanish Playboy, the cover of Iron Horse (Motorcycle mag). Magazine twice, SHOW Mag, Kiss Mag, Dollz Mag, Str8 Stuntin, Dwele’s last two videos, HBO’s Hung, and Hostel III
LCN: When did you first dream of working the entertainment industry?
ERIKA: I've never really wanted to be in entertainment, I've always been into academics, still am really, I just model for the extra money.
LCN: Who inspired you to become a model?
ERIKA: http://www.treagenphoto.com and it took him over a year to do so.
LCN: Did you come into the modeling industry expecting to be a video vixen or dream of hitting the runway like most girls?
ERIKA: All I really wanted from it was a way to position myself to do other things in life, like open my own store, and get more into styling. I've done a couple of videos, their fun to do.
LCN: You was featured in Dwele latest video Cheatin, Did Dwele hand pick you knowing that you're originally from the way for his videos?
ERIKA: Well, he hand picked me for his last two videos (laughs)
he's a really cool guy, and he has a certain type of lady he wants his image to be attached too, genuine type of woman (laughs)

LCN: Are you a hip hop fan? If so, who are some of your favorites
in the music industry?
ERIKA: I like Wayne and Diddy! I'm still a Biggie fan, I enjoy Cam’ron as well.
LCN: Cool, how was it working with Playboy?
ERIKA: It's great, they give you first class everything, flights hotels, food, pay, checks come on time, I'm up for a possible playmate spot this year, it's a long shot, but I'm excited.
LCN: You’re one of the very few African American models to make it in Playboy Magazine which is a huge accomplishment. How were you looked at by peers and family after posing nude?
ERIKA: No one can debate doing any Playboy Mags.
ERIKA: I'm doing well, thanks!

ERIKA: No one can debate doing any Playboy Mags.
LCN: I would agree. So have you ever had some bad experiences with directors orcelebrities coming onto you?ERIKA: Music video directors seem to have that bad, no movie or tv show directors operate that way, when they do, it's a different rule of engagement.
LCN: Have you ever been on a bogus booking or casting call?
ERIKA: It's never happened…. Hopefully it won't
LCN: In general, how has the industry been treating you? Do you feel like you’re given the respect you deserve from the photographers, video directors, crew and whomever else?
ERIKA: The industry treats me pretty well, I only operate in the realm of respect, I don't disrespect myself, thus, I can't allow anyone to disrespect me. Usually, I'm asked to come back and work on future projects, so I guess people like me (smiles).
LCN: What's your opinion today's modeling industry?
ERIKA: From where I sit, I think it's nice, I make enough money to justify my time from modeling. I don't have to date for money, or try to be "saved" by somebody to live. I'm not rich at all, but with all my irons I have in the fire, the modeling money comes in handy. I have a system set up to profit from everything I do. I think more girls should think things through before rushing out and shooting with everybody and doing everything they can and barely making a dollar. A planned move is more likely to succeed.

LCN: What's your intake on booty injections, implants, & surgeries. Has it watered down the industry for models with natural God given beauty?
ERIKA: If it brings a person happiness in some way to upgrade themselves so be it. I have no problems with any of it, some girls seem to go waaaaaaay too far with the ass shots trying to get noticed, but, they have to live with it, not me.
LCN: You’re a 32DD which is incredible.. All natural or all financed?
ERIKA: If you have to ask they must be great either way! (Laughs)
LCN: Damn right they are (laughs) but you're clearly legit. I am checking out this video you sent me which is hotter than chicken grease might I add. I almost forgot that you were cooking (laughs). ERIKA: The cooking video was a comedy, but people seem to like it for real.
LCN: Can you cook? If so, what’s your specialty?
ERIKA: I'm a master chef! I just made a lamb dish that knocked a few socks off!
LCN: Wifey material at it’s finest (laughs) Are you single or taken?
ERIKA: I'm single but currently seeing somebody, but everybody is seeing "somebody" (smiles)
LCN: Would you consider dating a celebrity or have you?
ERIKA: I have been approached by athletes, never have dated any, it's not my thing.
LCN: What is the most creative thing a guy has said or done to approach you?
ERIKA: In this day and age, just being truthful is creative.
LCN: Would you consider dating a celebrity or have you?
ERIKA: I have been approached by athletes, never have dated any, it's not my thing.
LCN: What is the most creative thing a guy has said or done to approach you?
ERIKA: In this day and age, just being truthful is creative.
LCN: The biggest misconception about Erika Mayshawn is...
ERIKA: I am mean, I'm just kinda reserved, laid back.
LCN: Interesting, what were you doing before our interview?
ERIKA: Reading a book
LCN: (Laughs) you stand correct. Have you ever had a one-night stand?
ERIKA: Not one
LCN: If you ruled the world, you would…
ERIKA: Upgrade the curriculum in all schools, level the playing field.
LCN: Tell us something your friends don’t know about you.
ERIKA: I can't tell you, cause then they'd know! (Laughs)
LCN: What would you say has been your greatest accomplishment thus far?
ERIKA: The TV show on Spike was called Trailer Trash, I was a Pizza girl, maybe HBO's HUNG, or Playboy’s top 100 (that’s humbling)
LCN: What upcoming projects do you have in development for 2011?
ERIKA: A line of t shirts, (excited about that) gonna revamp my cash cow http://fantasy-dollz.com/ working on co writing producing and styling a small film. Possibly going back to school to get another degree (smile)
LCN: Would you consider more acting in the future?
ERIKA: I've done a few things, I will be acting in a small film in 2011
LCN: You also mentioned Hostel 3 earlier. That’s big. Doing a horror flick of that calibar must have been exciting. What type of character do you play in the movie?
ERIKA: I'm actually a go-go girl, I'm not getting cut up or anything (laughs)
LCN: Good (laughs). Well, before we go, just through recent conversation you obviously have the beauty and brains. What advice would you give anyone who's
interested in stepping into the entertainment industry?
ERIKA: Plan and Study for 6 months to a year before doing anything. Don't shoot 1 picture until you've gone to every real agency in your area, don't get a manager or anything until you see whats what. Real agencies are in real offices with real websites with real booking agents, too many girls are out here on some bootleg representation, and representation is everything.
LCN: Thanks for talking with us Erika and supporting Le Creme Ent. Much love to you and we wish you the best.
ERIKA: Thanks a lot and also check out the team
